Powerful aromas of red fruits (Morello cherries, blackcurrants).
Intense ruby color. Full-bodied and fleshy on the palate.
1. Grape varieties
100% merlot
2. Soils
These are gravelly brown soils where the water table is deep; they are composed of sands, gravels and pebbles in a sandy-clay matrix.
3.surface area
1 hectare
4. Vineyard work
The vineyard is cultivated in the traditional way, with parcel-by-parcel management: ploughing the soil, grassing, mixed farming… The plots are carefully selected to give optimum expression to local grape varieties. Mechanical leaf-thinning and green harvesting.
5.winemaking
The grapes are destemmed and crushed, then cold-macerated for five days to extract maximum aromas. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations are carried out in temperature-controlled tanks. Vatting at high temperature and final hot maceration lasts between 18 and 30 days, depending on the vat, to obtain maximum concentration and balance.
6.breeding
The wine is aged in oak barrels for 3 to 6 months, depending on the vintage, and bottled at the estate.
